pitchfork supervisor run

• Usage: pitchfork supervisor run [FLAGS]

Runs the internal pitchfork daemon in the foreground

Flags

• -f --force — kill existing daemon

• --boot — run as boot start (auto-start boot_start daemons)

• --container — Enable container/PID1 mode (reap zombies, forward signals)

  Environment Variable: PITCHFORK_CONTAINER

• --web-port <WEB_PORT> — Enable web UI on specified port (tries up to 10 ports if in use)

  Environment Variable: PITCHFORK_WEB_PORT

• --web-path <WEB_PATH> — Serve web UI under a path prefix (e.g. "ps" serves at /ps/)

  Environment Variable: PITCHFORK_WEB_PATH

• --invoking-user <USER> — Run as root on behalf of this user, as if started with sudo by them

  sudo pitchfork boot enable records this flag in the system service, because launchd and systemd do not pass SUDO_USER to it. The user's home locates configuration, state, and the IPC socket; state is owned by the user; and daemons run as the user unless supervisor.user or a daemon's user says otherwise. Accepts a user name or numeric UID. Requires root, and the supervisor refuses to start if the account does not exist.
